- Enchanted Rock-ing Out!
Tonight was all about getting ready for our upcoming hike at Enchanted Rock—and our scouts showed up ready to learn and have some fun!
We kicked things off with a shakedown meeting to make sure everyone is prepared for the trail. Scouts put their knowledge to the test with a fast-paced 10 Essentials relay race, followed by a fun (and sometimes surprising!) “What’s in Your Bag?” game. We also did a shoe check to make sure everyone’s footwear is trail-ready—no blisters on our watch!
To wrap up the night, one of our scouts treated us to a delicious homemade chè thái (Vietnamese fruit cocktail)—a big hit with everyone!
We finished strong with an energetic game of capture the flag, full of teamwork, strategy, and lots of laughs.Great preparation, great teamwork, and a great night all around. Enchanted Rock, here we come!
- 2026 Swamp-o-Ree!
What an unforgettable weekend for Troop 282!
Scouts and parents had an absolute blast at the 2026 Swamp-O-Ree, packed with adventure, laughter, and just the right amount of fun. From awesome activities to exploring the great outdoors, there was never a dull moment.
And yes… we even spotted some real alligators!
Talk about a wild experience!Huge smiles, great memories, and a whole lot of troop spirit, made this weekend one for the books. Already can’t wait for the next adventure!
- Big River Water Park
Come join Troops 28 & 82 at the Big Rivers Water Park from 1:00pm to 7:00pm on August 13th. We will be having a fun time on the water slides. Cub scouts those new to scouting are welcome! Cost is $34.99 per person!
- Ice Skating at the Aerodome
Come join Troops 28 & 82 at the Aerodome from 1:00pm to 4:30pm on August 6th. We will be skating and then having cupcakes and games in the party room from 3:30 – 4:30. Cub scouts are welcome! Cost is $11 per scout!
